Man was that an ordeal...

I love my family. XD Amon wasn't anywhere when I stopped by the house, so I just snagged Risha and went out.

Nothing eventful. Dinner was all as usual. I haven't tried my hand at cooking in a while... hm... though most of what I know how to cook is well... extinct by now...

Yeah, maybe I should pick of one of those 6 cook books I have already. :\ Though killing pigeons and squirrels in city parks are always good for a laugh. A few months ago, I trapped one while in San Francisco. Kinda just bit into it. Filthy mess those birds are but eh... once in a while they're alright... some kids cried though. 9__9

Wait... why didn't I just get some cheap diner food...?

Huh...

Well talked a bit with my daughter... she's... really looking her age. Or starting to... and I really hate saying that, but she kind of forced this topic up again. I wish she'd just understand I don't like looking at her and just thinking that I'm easily going to outlive her. I know I'm going to be burying her but like... I really don't want to be reminded of it every time we sit down to talk.

Hm... maybe she doesn't feel like she has much else to talk about around me anymore...

You'll Never Guess Where I Was!

Seriously, I'm still trying to figure out where I was! 8D

I think I might've been up somewhere in Canada... or France... or maybe...

Yeah, don't ask how I mix these places up... I can't figure it out either...

But man, what a week. :| I got chased down by a pack of police dogs... or a pack of something that was barking... I hope I didn't kill any or anything... huh...

Gonna go meet my daughter tonight. Haven't seen her in about a month...

LOL BACKSTORY!

NOTE: Forgive poor writing. I made her up when I was 12 and her backstory actually hasn't changed so much. :|

Her name is Yuara Aiez, more commonly referred to as "YR."

Her last name is more of a placeholder surname. She never had an actual last name and adopted one when the times called for it. She accepted her first, last, and only husband's last name when she was absorbed into the family. She still uses it, even though she and Amon are long since divorced.

Yuara is part of a species born out of a volcano, coming in as the dinosaurs went out. She never ran into another of her kind until at least a decade after her birth. These creatures, human-like in appearance, save for a pair of reptilian looking wings, were born nearly full-grown, appearing as if they were in their late teens. They adapted quickly to their surroundings, built to walk upright and fly.

Yuara's species eventually clashed with early man and conflict arose. When man began to question the world around them, they began hunting the wing-bearing volcano people, viewing it as a victory over the might of the volcano. It was then the volcano people dscovered their abilities to hide their wings, though bearing a cross-shaped scar on their back in place of each wing.

Very few were able to convincingly blend in with man and eventually, they were believed to be extinct. Yuara travelled throughout the world, occasionally finding a myth or legend that applied to her species. She soon let go of the fear she held for being killed, once or twice running into a surviving member of her species and forever thinking of them as her brothers.

After the birth of her first daughter, Rein, Yuara succumbed to the call of the Earth and left her home to travel. On her way, she forgot who and what she was, finding herself in one of two warring desert kingdoms. The king was then seeking a new wife, a woman that stood tall enough to look him straight in the eye; a seemingly equal holder of power. Yuara, standing at 6' 3", was taken as the king's wife. However, after evaluation, she was deemed unfit to rule the nation, having to relearn everything about their customs and culture. Even so, she promised to be a quick learner, though emotionally distant.

Rein suddenly shows up, having spent over a decade trying to find her absent mother. Rein tries to remind Yuara of who she is, describing a flying beast that attacks the kingdom at night, that is a god to the opposing kingdom. Rein seizes Yuara's black wig and throws it to the ground, pointing out the short-cut green hair underneath. Amidst a heated argument, guards hear the commotion. Rein pulls up the hood on her cloak and disappears in the shadows.

A battle breaks out between the warring kingdoms, Rein personally involving herself in the cause and Yuara, unsure, watching from the palace. The action floods into the palace as soldiers from the opposing kingdom rush in, looking for the royal family for execution. Rein, in a rare display of affection, takes it upon herself to fight for her mother. Yuara runs away to hide herself by Rein's command and is frozen in shock when the girl is killed.

Everything rushes back to Yuara and she reveals her wings. Grabbing whatever she can use as a weapon (a curtain rod), she flies out into the night and takes on soldier after soldier until she is satisfied.

It is unknown whatever happened, what the volcano beast in disguise did. The recorded history of both kingdoms ended roughly on that night.

Yuara slipped into a bout of anonymous travel, spending most of her time in eastern Asia before finding herself in Europe. Late in the 19th century, she moved over to the Americas.

In the present day, she met a man named Amontep Aiez. They became fast friends. YR saw the birth of Amon's two sons and had a daughter of her own when Amon's wife birthed a daughter. YR also helped Amon through the death of his wife. When YR's daughter, Risha, was 11, YR agreed to marry Amon to prevent an honor killing due to his family's customs. After about 20 years of marraige, the two separated, never having producing any children of their own and holding a general "lack of interest" in each other. YR and Risha were still considered part of the family and were welcome to live with Amon's family. Risha took up that offer quickly, though YR moved herself out deciding she'd rather frequent the house than live in it.

She still travels a lot, sometimes without really thinking about it. Occasionally, she finds herself looking out at the ocean, imagining where her birthplace had sunk into the sea and what it used to look like. Sometimes in Europe, sometimes in Australia, she has no idea where she was actually born, but feels a strong pull to those areas, finding a sense of familiarity. She is fairly certain there is no longer any volcanic activity where she was born.
